A New year, a New Addition to the Blog: Deck Updates and Breakdowns

First post of the year and I'm going to make it more of an announcement type in that I've got an idea that I want to try on here and see how it pans out in the form of putting up detailed decklists that I discuss with the same detail as I do with video profiles.  Wait what?  Why would I do such a thing you ask?

The first reason for this is that it allows me to post updates to decks that I've already done videos profiles on but don't want to make another one because it would be too soon or I just don't want to spam the same deck profile month after month after month.  I usually wait until a new set that supports said deck/a banlist occurs before doing that but when the format shifts on a near monthly basis (especially in Vanguard) chances are whatever profile I upload will be outdated and the information I try to spread in said video will become falsified.

Then were's the other reason which is that by using this format I can also cove decks that I don't phyiscally own but have had the chance to play and form an opinion on (and in some cases have been asked for a profile of).  Some grain of salt would be required since online clients such as CFA, DevPro or Duelingbook are NOT a basis to be determining your entire theories, arguments and the metagame around as people online play differently than people IRL.  In alot of cases the opponents you face online are bluntly speaking garbage so if I were to put up a Vanquisher decklist with really bad card choices but spout that it's actually good and can dominate the meta because all I face are scrubs that I've bodied any sane person would find my logic to be extremely faulty or perhaps think me as delusional.  However I do believe that at the very least I can look at these decks and figure out why they're built the way they are and how they're supposed to perform in the format while also debunking some bad theories like running Strange Dragon over Photon.

Did I mention these will probably be netdecked lists by the way?  I Hope people reading this are not the kind of people who gets triggered over that stuff because I'm certainly not.  Netdecking is not only fine but it's actually an integral part of any card game.  I won't go into the specifics today but if you don't understand the usefulness of it then suffice to say you're not playing at a higher level.

Aside from that I think I might also just make posts on here covering topics that I just can't seem to make a good video on like said netdecking or "Grade 2 Gaming is not going away.  Deal with it."

That's pretty much all I wanted to say here.  Keep an eye on here for future posts as I'll continue to post the odd locals report, fancard ideas and whatever else strikes my fancy.

Until next time.
