As you can see BCS Greece was...well I'm honestly going to say free because not only did Aqua Force win it but a Shadow Paladin Trial Deck topped as well. This isn't proof that Standard isn't a sackfest format but instead it further justifies that claim. Where else can people get carried by highrolling than in Standard? Vanguardians of course remains in denial on this issue along with the myriad of people who think that Premium is the inferior, "skilless" format both on there and in the reddits/youtube comment sections.
"OTT isn't a problem and Novas are good!"
Did you know that Greece's tour was best of 1 ? This is highly likely the reason that aqua force and shadow paladin trial deck made it to the top. Best of 1 is exactly what you describe as "high-rolling" . I believe this isnt the case with best of 3 or even better with best of 5 format
ReplyDeleteYes I did. That's why I've more or less felt that tournament was free.
DeleteAlso where would you place megacolony ? Its certainly underplayed but when its played its get good rankings ... whats your opinions 'bout it
ReplyDeleteI think MC pre promo card are consistently average with a VR that's really good against OTT. Once they get the promo I feel like the deck could jump up a tier and be an arguably better OTT killer than Murakumo.
