V-BT12 Narukami Spoilers - Week 7

This will be 4 sets in a row now where Narukami's last card is revealed during the freedomduo dump and it's solid.

Martial Arts Dragon
[AUTO](V/R): When placed, [COST]{CB1, SB1}, choose and bind an opponent's RG in the front row.
[AUTO](V/R): When your other unit's attack did not hit, during this turn this unit gets +5000.

If this was the MAD that we got in G-BT09 I probably wouldn't have spent 5-10 minutes shitting on it in a video about that disappointing set.  Hilariously enough MAD here is flat out better than Plasmacatapult Dragon who is a RRR.  Wtf are these set designers thinking?  Catapult binds and draws therefore he's better?  Martial Arts can get big enough that he'll require 2+ cards to guard during your combo turn!

In short Martial Arts Dragon is good.  He gets big and is removal that is live before Turn 3 and works on Rear Guard.  That's all I ever wanted out of him.

And that's it.  All in all Narukami did good this set (EDD and Catapult notwithstanding) and the Vanquisher deck in particular has a reasonable chance of being a top tier deck again with these new cards.  Unlike before there's considerably more competition from decks like Gurguit, DOTX, Nightrose and etc so the deck will definitely not be BDIF like in Vanity format.  How the deck is made will be interesting to see as Narukami has alot of good cards to work with and trying to fit them all in without increasing brick chances is difficult.  As a whole though the V series has been very kind to this clan and being a Narukami stan during the last couple years has definitely been a rewarding experience compared to the constant hype then disappointment that was commonplace in G.  Here's to Overdress continuing this momentum.

V-BT12 Narukami Spoilers - Week 6

Would you believe me when I say we're not done yet with Narus in this set?

Vibrocrusher Dragon
AUTO (RC) When placed, if your vanguard is grade 2 or greater, COST [Counter Blast 1], draw a card, choose one of your opponent’s back row rear-guards, and move it to an open (RC) in the same column as that unit.

Eleckinesis Dragon

Kinesis is whatever.  Nobody plays the 7k vanillas.  Vibrocrusher on the other hand I really like.  It's another mover just like Bolt Capture Dragon/the new Erad but for an extra CB you also get a draw and it's not locked behind needing a G3 on Vanguard for...reasons I guess.  +1s in Narukami are rare and when we do see the odd card that lets you actually build advantage rather than cycle/minus the opponent I tend to notice.  The CB cost is also a near non issue in the Vanquisher deck since the deck is leaning towards cutting Cho-Ou which leaves only Vanquisher itself as the main CB eater which Crusher appreciates.  All in all a really solid tech option that I think has a reasonable chance of seeing play depending on the format.

And that's it for last week.  Set 12 drops at the end of this week and the last 2 cards to be spoiled is the Order (which will probably be meh) and one last Rare for Narukami.  I'm expecting it to be another mediocre Eradicator.
