Cardfight!! Vanguard - Major Tournament Results (Nov 10-11/2018)

Last week before Answer of Truth comes out and...probably won't shake up the format much if I may be honest.  Genesis might break into the top cut (albeit barely) but I don't see Gears or Great Nature being able to compete on the same level as our established Tier 1.  They're just not consistent enough compared to Shadows/OTT/NN.

Anywho let's get started on what will be a short post;

WGP Sapporo (Standard - Unknown Teams):
1st) RP/NN/SP

1st Place

WGP Sapporo (Premium - Unknown Player Count):
1st) Gold Paladin (Ezel)
2nd) Angel Feather (Gyze)

1st Place

Yeah...not all the decklists were uploaded so info on what was played is a little hard to find.  However it appears to be that Ezel is doing pretty decently in Premium as that superior ride combo actually does things there outside of losing to a defensive trigger.  Gold Paladin's stride options may mostly suck ass but when you get to do that vs a G2 9k that in some matchups can't gain power because Gyze then that's just enough to get in there.  On the Standard side the format pre EB04 is more or less solidified with Neo Nectar considered to be the BDIF (with Promo) and Angel Feather not far behind.  I imagine after that you have the same 3 way race between Murakumo, OTT and Shadow Paladin and with the introduction of Genesis and GC I can see Muras getting pushed out.  What's also interesting to note is that more Force decks are starting to run a single 10k Shield G2 and it's been talked about before.  Decent sized body, good defense and in the case of NN/Shadows you can call them out by effects.

Anyway stay tuned for next week when we get to see new toy syndrome kick in for Gears and Genesis.
