Pseudo Lolcals Adventure - I r teh grtst!

That is all.

Okay fine I'll elaborate.  So Locals didn't happen today since it was Easter Sunday and Tramps was closed.  Did that stop us?  Pffft, no!  We all just went to the Robins and chilled there all day instead.  Or rather they did at first.  I on the other hand didn't know about this and as such slept until noon when I got a text message saying everyone was down there and so I went after (hastily) throwing some decks together.

Match 1 - Disaster Dragon vs Monk Photon (2-0)

Game 1; I summoned Drago and trololololol'd.

Game 2; I forget how this went.

Match 2 - Hero Beat vs Different Photon (2-0)

Game 1; This one's hazy (flame).

Game 2; Fiendish Chain and Shining put in work.

Match 3 - Hero Beat vs Bad Photon Deck (2-0)

Game 1; Pretty sure I Dark Hole his boss field and monster Reborn a Galaxy-Eyes.

Game 2; I nuke his board with a clutch Torrential.

Match 4 - Hero Beat vs 2011 Tengu Plants (2-1)

Game 1; Grinded a little for this.  Eventually managed to establish control and win.

Game 2; I opened god awful and couldn't play out of my hand.

Game 3; This one went long with removal and beaters abound.  I get 2 Cardcar D's off and draw what I need to win.

Match 5 - Hero Beat vs Karakuri OTK (2-0)

Game 1; I set 5 and summon beaters to win.  Not much you can do against Warning, Judgment, TT, Bribe and Fiendish Chain.

Game 2; He makes a Naturia Beast which would have killed me had I not opened Super Poly + a Hero so I do just that and while he's able to push me around a bit, my backrow do their job.

Match 6 - Hunder vs Plant Synchron (2-0)

Game 1; This is already a favourable matchup thanks to my ability to Shock Lock or Crimson Blader lock and I do both here.  I'm able to kill him in a few turns.

Game 2; He goes OFF with a shit ton of monsters and ends his board with Librarian, Berserker and another monster along with a Pot of Avarice and Dandylion combos.  I answer with a one turn Thunder Spark Dragon and my backrow helps keep him in check.

Match 7 - Disaster Dragon vs Wind-Up (2-0)

Game 1 - He keeps removing Dragos and gets Factory off but I eventually drop a Yamata Dragon, score the +5 off of it and ride my traps to victory.

Game 2 - He bottomlesses my REDMD so I decide to make a huge push with Return from the Different Dimension and I flat out annihilate him in doing so.

Match 8 - Hunder vs Plant Synchron (Draw)

Game 1; He gets a turn one Quasar.

Game 2; He had to leave.

Match 9 - Disaster Dragon vs Prophecy with Judgment (1-2)

Game 1; He opens with Judgment and I just don't have the resources to outlast his constant plusses.  I also start considering building Dark World.

Game 2; He doesn't open as strongly and I'm able to Solemn his Spellbook Magician then go for the throat on the following turn with Blaster and Tempest.

Game 3; See game 1.

Match 10 - Hunder vs Prophecy (2-1?)

Game 1 - I believe I open with T-King here and while he gets around it I drop a Dynamo to kill a Priestess and have Honest to back it up.

Game 2 - I make a Crimson Blader and use it to buy a couple turns before shitting my hand out and winning.

Match 11 - March 2012 Chaos Dragon Mirror Match (2-0)

Game 1 - I get Future Fusion off and despite some awful mills I eventually win it.

Game 2 - I open Future Fusion like a baws and then we just shit big monsters all over the place.  I do win this after blowing up the field with Dark Hole while having a Pulsar and pushing through Maxx "C" for the win.

Then we all went home.  Overall the day was good.  It was basically locals except all the good people were present.  I got to test out some changes to my Hunder Deck, my idea of how to run Heroes and even got a few games with Disaster.  I'm disappointed I couldn't get the match win against Spellbooks as I had hands in which I could have done SOMETHING, but nowhere near what was needed to get the job done with Priestess and a shit ton of spellbooks coming.  Being able to win against the deck with Hunders though?  That felt good and it definitely boosted my confidence with the deck after my poor showing at Regionals.  Photon Thrasher is a fucking beast.

Props
-Heroes
-Hunders
-DRAGONS
-Getting that last Blastoise I needed to start building Keldeotoise.
-Playing the Chaos Dragon Mirror with 2 REDMD and Future Fusion.  God that was so fucking dumb

Slops
-Losing to Prophecy with my favourite deck.  Fuck Judgment Day.  Card Destruction requires a situational hand to be anywhere near as plus.
-Milling BLS and Monster Reborn with Chaos Dragons in both games.

Lolcals Adventure - A Shocking Result

Yay locals!  If there's anything that can be done to help my wounded pride it would be a chance to to kick some ass with a modified version of my Regional Deck as I really wanted to see how much of a difference Photon Thrasher would have made.  I also made it a point to trade off a playmat and some of my cards for older cards, Hazy stuff and a few banned cards.

Also some of the people are really fucking terrible when it comes to trades.  "No I'm not trading that Secret Rare Vylon Epsilon for a Super Rare."

Except for you know Vylons are garbage and Hidden Arsenal Secrets are no more valuable than the obsolete penny.  I know some people (okay not some.  Just the awful people) hate the whole card values thing but almost everyone with a head on their shoulders will trade cards based on value, not rarity.  Its what we do and if you want to get trades done with the non sucky people then you're going to have to bite the bullet.

Now for the tournament.

Round 1 - vs X-Sabers (1-2)

Game 1 - So I put out a bitchin field of Stardust with Prism and Thunder King.  He's pretty much dead next turn...but then plays 2 Saber Slash and OTKs the fuck out of me.

Game 2 - Macro Cosmos.

Game 3 - I put out a Thought Ruler which negates 2 of his cards...then gets Creature Swapped because that's a card that I've had a longstanding hatred of before I even met any of the people at locals.  I hate losing games because of Creature Swap and while I eventually do get around this thanks to Dynamo and make a field with Rai-Oh he's eventually able to clear it and make Barkion to my backrow of Fiendish Chain and Bottomless and kills me.  Ultimately the Creature Swap won him the game and I am placing part of the loss on that.  The damage I took from that hit and the work I had to do in order to take control back was just too much and against Sabers that's enough to outright lose it all.

Round 2 - vs Legendary Ocean Deck (2-0)

Game 1 - You know how I talked about beating a bad player with a bad deck and how its basically like kicking a puppy?  Yeah that's kind of the same here.  He negates my Pot of Duality with Magic Jammer and I'm like "well then".  Then I make Stardust and eventually Scrap Dragon and win.

Game 2 - I completely shit on his setup with Decree, Stardust and Dynamo.

Round 3 - vs Blackwings (2-1)

Game 1 - I make Stardust and he has no answer to it for most of the game.  Then he Storms, drops DAD and some more Blackwings and beats me to death....mostly.  I admit that I misplayed and forgot that I had TRAG IN HAND and could have lived the turn out at 1000 LP, played Dark Hole and Reborn'd Stardust.  Now I was dually pissed.

Game 2 - So I summoned Photon Trasher and literally beat him down with it.  He killed it but by then it was too late.  I had far too much advantage on him.

Game 3 - He opens with Whirlwind and gets Gale off his Shura summon but no other backrow so I'm reading an all Monster hand.  So I make Shock Master and call effects for 3 turns, beat him down with it and Rai-Oh then make Scrap Dragon and win.

And that was it because we only had a Top 4 and what do you know I didn't make it because the tournamen structure is DUMB and I bubbled out.  I got 5th place!  The fuck!?  Ever since we started doing this new style it's become more and more bullshit in regards to how well certain players do and alot of good people have missed out on playoffs because they lost one match.

So after this we go to Robins and do our usual of more games, trades, Vanguard and such.  I got to playtest Hunders against Prophecy and not surprisingly I drew Shock Master Hands most of the time.  It was kinda dickbutty.

Props
-Making up for my horrible Regional performance albeit somewhat.  I ended with a winning record and I'm pretty sure I'd have gone 3-0 had I elected to have Rai-Oh negate an X-Saber Gardestrike summon which lead to a Saber Slash into Barkion play.
-Getting out of the Salt Mine.
-Puns.  Many many puns.  You could say they were...electrifying!

Slops
-Misplays.
-Still taking bad losses way too hard.  I literally told someone to stop playing a bad deck when I saw him flip up DNA Surgery and call Divine-Beast.  This was the guy I made flip the table in the 100 card tournament and lo and behold he was still playing shitty stall decks.

March 23, 2013 Regional Report - Disappointment

Well this could have gone better and by that I mean ALOT better.  I mentioned this a while back in a video that Regina would be getting a second Regionals in March and this happened to be that weekend.  It also happened to be the weekend of YCS Austin and not surprisingly the end results were kind of expected.

Except for the whole us not having a Monarch deck that topped.  With his entire Extra Deck in toploaders.  Wow.  This guy must have been a master troll or something as there were ALOT of salt filled posts on Duelistgroundz in regards to this.  Some of these people were more salty than myself which may be a shocker to some (you guys know who you are.  In fact you're reading this right now.

Hiiiiiiiiiiiii.) but yeah its possible.  This Regionals was also quite salty.  In fact it was basically a fucking salt mine with me driving the cart except for the whole I wasn't the most salty person there.  That belonged to the guy who bubbled because of his tie breakers.  I promptly gave him the wheel and went about my way.

Anyway I ended up taking Hunders to this since I already had my invite and wanted to play something more wonky than Dragunity (the other choice was Hieratic but I was drawing like the master and by that I mean total ASS in most of my games).  In retrospect this was a bad call as I'd never really used the deck much outside of games on DevPro where it tested decent and I was not fully confident in my side decking decisions.  I probably should have gone with Chaos Dragon but after getting horribly anal raped by Karakuri the night before I was like "k this isn't going to work."  Oh and for the curious our meta turnout was Rabbit, Dark World, Lightsworn, Machina Gadget, Machina Geargia, Chaos Dragon, Mono and Genex Mermail, Fire Fist and finally Dragunity because ever since I topped the last Regionals with them some people have been playing the deck more or in one case outright trying to copy exactly everything I've done.

Oh and there were two women at this.  Two out of almost 70.  Dat ratio.  Oh and they came with their boyfriends......and this is where I'm sure some people just went "well shit."

Moving on I get there with Megamonkey and the rest of the group, do some trades while catching up with the guys from Saskatoon while also learning that a couple people from Winnipeg came all the way here to compete.  By the end of the day they were very, very sorry they did.  Our head judge does his speech and we're set to begin...except the fucking Dark World player comes in at the last minute, bumps up the rounds of swiss from 6 to 7 and we all have to get re-paired.  The stupidity of the deck is astounding if their players can cause fuckups of that magnitude without games being played.  So after ANOTHER wait the Regionals begin.

Round 1 - vs Shitty Fucking Awful Mermails (Not even a Win worth counting)

Game 1 - Oh my god I'm paired up with the idiot who tried to mimic my Hazy Flames deck from a while back.  Except this time he's trying to play Merlanteans since I guess its the best deck of the format....except that he had no Megalos (only 3 Leeds) and he had NO IDEA of how his cards worked.  He was either reading or misreading effects.  Example; He summoned Genex Undine and tried to pitch Marksman from the HAND.  Oh and apparently he was running Dimensional Fissure in his Side Deck.

Wut.

Yes I'm being a fucking prick but you have no idea how much facepalm I wanted to do.  So I completely and utterly thrash him with Abyss Dweller and Crimson Blader equipped with a Prism and lock him out.

Game 2 - Pretty much the same as before.  I put Thunder King on the board and eventually make a Dweller to lock him out of his Linde effects.  I kill him after making a Dynamo.

Round 2 - vs Machina Gadgets (1-2)

Game 1 - So this guy's been playing the game since LOB and much like Cameron he has lots, and lots, and lots of decks.  You know how in GX Bastion opens up his coat and has a FUCKTON of decks?  That's Cameron and this guy.  Except this guy's more like Bastion and Cam is so much like Abridged Jaden it's fucking scary.

Oh right the game.  I basically managed to keep him from doing much and put out a ton of damage through my constant double summons and he can't keep up.

Game 2 - He summons a Tiger King Wanghu with backrow and I die inside as I've got no out to that thing and despite my best efforts to thin my deck out, stall and hope to draw an out I don't.  I was hoping to get a Rai-Oh or a Soul Taker but nope.  Worst yet he's got the Starlight Road and I'm pretty much done.

Game 3 - He opens with a Machina Fortress and I Taker it.  He summons it again and I taker it.  Then we basically poke here and there while drawing backrow but no monsters or a monster but losing it to removal.  This game went on a long time and eventually he's able to get the win after finally knocking off the rest of my LP after I take him to around 1200 I think.  My only disappointment from this was that I never saw Thunder Seahorse which up until this point I opened with in every game.  Now I realize just how much the deck lives and dies by Seahorse.  Anyway the handshake was done and he told me that was by far the best game he had in a long time and by the sounds of it the best he had that entire day.  I didn't hear it personally but he basically said that I was the toughest and one of the most skilled opponents he had ever faced.  Coming from someone who has likely played all kinds of caliber players that does mean alot and it certainly helps my ego.  I was still disappoint that my deck failed me though.  I don't like to lose.

Round 3 - vs Inzektors (1-2)

Game 1 - I try to make a Stardust but it gets Solemned.  Then he proceeds to do Inzektor plays with Call of the Haunted that I can't stop and I pretty much die.  My dislike of this deck is well known and I didn't side nearly enough hate for it in retrospect.  I always wondered why the guy who topped Hawaii with this deck ran Shadow Mirrors.  Now I do.

Game 2 - I get Macro Cosmos off Turn one and beat him to death with it

Game 3 - This was by far my worst playing in a long time as I make the stupid move of negating a Decree with Judgment which puts me at 2800 LP and enough to let him use his Call of the Haunteds to beat over my Dynamo then attack for game.  If anything I should have Macro'd Turn 1 (which I didn't because I got greedy and wanted to get the draw off of Dyamo) and i should have let the Decree go since I had Storm and another Macro in hand.

Round 4 - vs Fire Fist Rabbit (0-2)

Game 1 - Oh god fucking dammit.  Not this deck.  I was not prepared for this at all and I get thoroughly raped by it thanks to a Turn 1 Tiger King and a never ending supply of backrow that I could not get around.  I knew he had a Mirror Force and he had Lances, Tensen and a frequent supply of Bears I could not handle.

Game 2 - I Heavy Storm, he Starlight Roads then makes Shock Master and calls Monster Effects.  I couldn't even say anything.  I couldn't even DO ANYTHING.  The fuck do you do against Stardust, Shock Master and Bear with 4 facedowns!?  If this was DN or DevPro I would have just outright ragequit and I almost got up and left the room here.  I ended up scooping it up and getting out of there before I snapped or something because I got 2-0'd and while I admit I'm not the greatest player in the world I do NOT get fucking 2-0'd.  I'm fucking better than THAT.  That much I do know!  God damn just look at the Gadget match.  I lost that but I made it one of the most difficult wins that a person could get.  Fucking fighting tooth and nail to the bitter end.  This?  I got blown out and it was disgusting.  I straight up dropped here and decided to participate in the win a mat.

The worst part of this however?  My only match win was against a bad player playing a bad deck.  That's like OTKing a random 60 card Dark Magician deck on DN.  That's not much of a win if you even count it as one.  *throws the salt packs out*

Win-A-Mat Tournament

So after waiting 10 minutes and getting pairings done four times we FINALLY got to try to get the badass looking Kaito + Neo Galaxy-Eyes mat which is honestly better than the Regional Mat itself.

Round 1 - vs Machina Geargia (2-1)

Game 1 - My opponent has the Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon Hobby League mat and I basically throw things at him to get it and I eventually do.

What the game?  Oh fine.  He'd never seen a Hunder deck in action before so my plays we're kind of confusing.  I eventually make a Stardust with a Prism on it and beat face or something.  He couldn't get around my guys.

Game 2 - I drew no monsters for like EVER and got beaten to death.

Game 3 - We pretty much went into a grind game which is fine by me as Hunders love the slow game.  Allows me to do constant Seahorse toolboxing to set up then make a push which is what I do here.  Not often you can say you managed to beat Machina Geargia at their own strategy but I did here.

Round 2 - vs Sephilonsworn

Game 1 - He attacks me and I drop a Trag and beat face with it and a Thunder King.

Game 2 - I pretty much had him down on the ropes until he rips a Pot of Avarice and drops JDs.

Game 3 - We kinda go back and forth in this.  He gets a monster Reborn off but I'm pretty sure he either can't handle the Stardust with Prism or I lock him down with Blader and use Dynamo to finish him off.

Round 3 - vs Fire Fist (0-2)

Game 1 - So all the Fire Fist players came from Winnipeg I think which explains why nobody was prepared for them.  I admit we all thought the deck would be non-existent here due to nobody being able to afford a playset of Bear and thats why I didn't side for the deck.  Not that it mattered here as he had EVERYTHING.  Things to kill my monsters on summon or Lance/Tensen to beat over them.  I couldn't do jack all.

Game 2 - He pushes me into a corner then plays Reborn to win it.  Fucking hate that card.

And that's as far as I went.  I ended up trading cards to get the mat from the winner who was the Fire Fist guy which sounds like was the best move as alot of people hated him.  There was also a Chain Burn player who was a complete douche and Magnus thrashed him.  Good job.  Megamonkey also got Top 4 with his Mermail deck which allows him to choice the coveted Regional Deckbox club that yours truly is a part of.

Anyway if we get another Regionals Tramps is going to have to seriously step up their game because compared to Winnipeg we really are nothing but banjo playing hicks.  It pains me to say this but after being at a Regionals in Winnipeg and being at ours twice...its the truth.  Also complaints are apparently being made which could affect future regionals here.  I think if anything Saskatoon should get the next one.  I think their people could handle it better.  If we get another one then I definitely agree with Cameron being Head Judge and while I'm touched that him and Magnus think me competent and knowledgeable enough to pull of Judging well (because lets face it, I probably am better suited to this shit than some of the people we've had.  I'm not trying to be cocky or anything but I am confident in not only my rulings but also applying common sense with card interactions).  Would I judge at a Regionals in September or would I rather play Dragons?  Good question.

That said after all this we head to East Side Mario's for dinner then to Cameron's to talk, watch TFS Abridged and I had some more games with my Hunders since I wanted to see if the deck was flat out awful or my matchups were.  I played against Junk Doppel and Lightsworn where Crimson Blader kinda fucks them up royally so they were lopsided wins in my favour.  Score.

Props
-Megamonkey getting another Regional Top.
-Picking up basically an entire Samurai Deck for 30 bucks
-Getting the Win A Mat for 120
-Getting the Red-Eyes Mat that I've wanted for YEARS

Slops
-Scrubbing out and finishing in 57th place.
-Not going with Dragons.  I love Hunders but Dragons really are my deck.
-Not going with the Photon Thrashers that I ran in early builds.  Thrasher + Sishunder into Dynamo would have been real helpful.
-Losing to Monster Reborn and Avarice.
-Getting 2-0'd by Fire Fists.  Fun?  That was FUN!?

Yeah this day was not very fun at all.  I had to wash out alot of salt during my morning showever.

Lolcals Adventure - More Salt

Alright so time for another Locals report!  I should warn you guys.  There's a good chance this post will have higher than usual amounts of sodium in it.

Anyway!  With Regionals coming up I decided to test a deck I had been mostly set on running in Hieratics.  Pulling Volcasaurus from my Collector's tin on the spot kinda sealed it.  However instead of running the Birdman build that Paul Cooper topped with I took a modified version of a recent OCG build running Divine Dragon Apocralyph and a Level 4 Vanilla to enable Queen Dragun Djinn access and the ability to OTK using 3 Hieratics and a random card in the hand.  How did it go?  Well...

Round 1 - vs Cyber Dragon (1-2)

Game 1 - I opened pretty mediocre as I ended up summoning 2 Wind-Up Rabbits and making a Zenmaines.  Eventually I put out a field of Monsters but his Cyber Larvas keep him safe from what was an OTK.  Then he Power Bonds a Cyber Twin Dragon and plays Limiter during the damage step.  Salt.

Game 2 - I summon Rabbit and pass turn.  He goes for Power Bond turn one and attacks hoping I don't have Battle Fader.  I do and that's why I didn't die and went on to OTK quite nicely with a Volcasaurus popping Cyber Twin for extra oomph.

Game 3 - He torrentials me after I drop a Su and that really fucking sucks.  Then he turn Power Bonds into a Cyber Twin and I have no Battle Fader so I take over 10000 damage and lose to a fucking awful deck.  I didn't rage though.  No I kept my salt levels in check.  I just scooped up my cards and left, not saying good game or any handshakes.  Shitty decks like this don't get good game from me.

On that note why do people keep building this bullshit?  OH LOOK AT ME I CAN SUMMON A BIG DRAGON AND DO AMAZING DAMA-Compulsory Evacuation Device.  Oh look.  You just lost EVERYTHING.

Maybe I should have played Macro Rabbit today.  Between this guy and the FIVE DARK WORLDS and the two Merlantean decks present I would have annihilated everyone.  That or Six Sams.  Basically anything that punishes people for -109409304923480954350129430498ing themselves.  Hieratics can't do that.

Round 2 - vs I don't even know (2-0)

Game 1 - I don't remember this, other than I summon a shitton of monsters and eventually have to play around a Gorz.

Game 2 - I smoke him pretty good.

Round 3 - vs Dark World (2-0)

I already knew he was playing this after watching him Mirror Match another Dark World.  He's not surprisingly a bad player that without thinking uses Dealings against someone he KNOWS IS PLAYING DARK WORLD.  Yeah how did that work out for you?  Your opponent summoned Silva and Goldd and got their bonus effects?

Game 1 - He opens awful which is fine by me.  You want to play Dark World because you're a talentless hack who can't fucking play his way out of a paper bag nor do you understand how cards work.  "I'm going to use your field spell's effect" No you can't do that.  Why?  Field Spells are one sided unless they specifically SAY both players.  And no Allure of Darkness does not let you choose to discard your hand instead of banishing a Dark Monster.  This is the same fucknut that tried to copy my Haze King deck and failed miserably at piloting deck.  So what does he do?  Go back to playing a deck that covers up a terrible player's flaws by giving them godly hands!  Because that's all he can do.  Anyway my original point.  If you are going to play Dark World you'd better be prepared for the garbage hands that the deck produces and Hieratics even with a bad hand can capitalize on this.

In this case I made a Tiras and poked with it until I won.

Game 2 - Oh my god.  This was so awesome.  So he sets a bajillion and calls Su with Prohibition and I see he has a Light Mirror because he flipped it up by mistake and I caught it.  Now I was like "well crap" but then I hit a Gemini Imps off of Duality while opening with one.  He plays Dragged Down KNOWING I have the Imps and I draw Heavy Storm off of it.  He has no follow up plays and I draw a 4th Hieratic.  I Storm his backrow and put out 10700 GLORIOUS POINTS OF DAMAGE on the board.  I then go over to see Megamonkey beat the Cyber Dragon player after he Power Bonded and failed to do anything, putting himself down to 1000 LP.  Monkey makes Blackship of Corn and sends Cyber Larva to the graveyard for exact game.  He later told me that the Cyber Dragon guy went HAM and blew up his field or something but he topdecked Dark Hole in response and got called a sack for it.

My god I just....I want to summon Koa'ki Meiru Drago, set 2 and see this guy's face.

Anyway because I lost to a bad person and only beat two bad people I didn't make it to top four.  In fact I placed way the fuck out of contention and so far down the list I swear to god I was in Space Mexico.

So we all went to Robins and I playtest against Mermails and Wind Ups.  Mermails I needed a god hand to beat and Wind-Ups was a bearable matchup, even winnable to an extent.  Then I playtested Dragunty/Tempest and dickbutted pretty badly.  Gold Sarc + Ravine + Phalanx.  Yeah....my end field was Stardust, REDMD, Messier 7 and backrow.  I also played Vanguard and won more games than I lost with one point I managed to hit 2 Critical Triggers on an opponent who didn't guard thinking he'd be fine.

SUCKS, DOESN'T IT!?

Props
-New style Hieratics are extremely versatile.  I can OTK and never need to see REDMD.  That's insane.
-Volcasaurus too stronk.  I won so many games because I blew up a monster and went into Thunder Charger.  Queen Dragun Jinn, 2 Chargers and at least 700 damage is an OTK.
-Queen Jinn was amazing.
-Teaming up with Megamonkey's Kagero with my Narukami in a team Cardfight.  Bow before the might of Team Firestorm!

Slops
-Getting out HAMed by a bad HAM deck while playing a good HAM Deck
-Konami's fucking retarded tournament structure system.
-Drawing 3 Vanillas.  *Commits seppuku*

Lolcals Adventure - Memory of a Friend

New format!  Indeed today marks the first blogpost of the Yu-Gi-Oh! March 2013 Format and by the looks of it this may turn out to be even shittier than March 2012.  Oh don't get me wrong right now things are better than last year but let me tell you guys when Lord of the Tachyion Galaxy comes out we're all FUCKED.  Capcom fucking over anyone who bought a 3DS for Mega Man Legends 3 level fucked.

Ooooooh.

On the plus side (if there is one) the Elemental Dragons are in that set and they're bitchin to play with.  I recently gave Tempest Dragunity a go and jesus.  Easily a tier 1.5 deck now.  If Prophecy wasn't a deck it'd easily be Tier 1.  Still don't have a finalized list (I've seen some OCG builds run virtually no traps for instance which I feel is a giant no no in a deck like Dragunity) but I'm working on it.

Back to Lolcals.  Yes I'm calling these posts that now because for the most part our locals are Lols.  Anyway for this Locals I decided to use Lightsworn since I was short an Advanced Ritual Art for Herald Agents, short one Breakthrough Skill for Dragunity and I didn't want to use Macro Rabbit yet.  That and I had a more personal reason for wanting to play Lightsworn.  I'll elaborate on this in a video.

Round 1 - vs Chaos Dragon (2-1)

Game 1 - I attack into a Ryko who pops my Ryko and he kinda puts a shit ton of damage on the board.  Also my mills were complete garbage.  Lost a Monster Reborn.

Game 2 - I don't remember this one much other than getting Judgment Dragon out and nuking several times.  He Dark Holes but then I topdeck amazing.  This was after losing Reborn again to mills.

Game 3 - We both see some of our sided cards and he ends up swiping JD with Electric Virus and going for game, but forgot I had a Necro Gardna and that cost him the game.  I was able to take the field and win afterwards.  Milled Reborn and my Trags here.

Round 2 - vs Hazy Kings (2-0)

Game 1 and 2 - Same scrub who was playing Dark World against my Hazy Kings that I kicked the shit out of a couple weeks ago.  Unlike yours truely he had no fucking clue how to operate the deck as he made brutal misplays and took WAY too many unnecessary -1s.  How did I ever think this slapnut was ever GOOD?  God damn do perspectives change after time.  I remember when he roflstomped me in my very first ever game at a locals with 3 Charge of the Light Brigade Lightsworn and used to think he was good.

So anyway both games I drop BLS and beat over Garunix.  In one case I threw an Honest on.  Being the bad that he is the guy forgot to get Barong out of the deck in both games.

Round 3 - vs X-Sabers (2-1)

Game 1 - I do Lightsworn things and poop all over his field.

Game 2 - He does Saber things and poops all over my field and makes a Strike Bounzer.

Game 3 - I almost lose to a random Magic Cylinder but I'm able to get JD out and take the game over.

Top 4 - vs Dark World (2-0)

Game 1 - He opened crap and I opened with 2 Wulfs!  Yay!  I'm still able to get some damage in before he Card Destructions and sets up a big field.  However I drop a Judgment Dragon and win.

Game 2 - Oh man.  This was awesome.   So he gets Grapha out and Dark Smogs the JD that I milled.  That's okay.  Because I drop Chaos Sorcerer, Black Luster Soldier who attacks Grapha....and I drop Honest!  Total damage that turn?  Over NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND.

He was quite salty at that level of sackery.  Dark Worlds have no right to complain about Lightsworn sacking.  Simple as that.

Final - vs Karakuri (2-1)

Game 1 - I killed him.

Game 2 - He killed me.

Game 3 - This also got close as I opened Lumina + Garoth and had an amazing setup (but never drew JD) and dropped a 3000 Trag that I sat on as he comboed out.  He could have made a Scrap Dragon to win it but it slipped his mind and I ultimately topdeck BLS with time looming and I go to town under the safety of Royal Decree.

Yes I sided cards and did not mill them.  Holy fucking shit its a miracle.

After this we went to Robins were I had some games of Cardfight Vanguard and did some trades.  Picked up Virbank City Gym for Pokemon, a Genex Ally Birdman for Hieratics and recorded a Deck Profile of this.

Props
-Winning a tournament even if it was Locals with Lightsworn in memory of a good friend.
-Outsacking Dark World.  Solemn my Judgment Dragon?  Monster Reincarnation trolls that!  Also the BLS + Honest play against a Grapha with 3000 attack and a Sorc to back it up.  That was 11200 damage there.
-Finishing Hieratics for the new banlist...mostly.  I need a third Thunder Charger.

Slops
-Milling my TEN SPELLS.
